Aquascape University Training: Excellence Through Education
These courses form the foundation of how we build and care for ecosystem ponds, ensuring every project meets the same high standards for performance, clarity, and reliability.
Each team member completes coursework in:
- Pond Ecology & Water Science — Understanding the nitrogen cycle, beneficial bacteria, and how balanced ecosystems sustain healthy fish and plants.
- Construction Methods & System Design — Proper liner installation, underlayment, plumbing, and BioFalls integration for watertight, efficient builds.
- Filtration & Circulation — Designing systems that maintain crystal-clear water through correct pump sizing and flow management.
- Advanced Component Training — Specialized modules on BioFalls filters, skimmers, pressure filters, UV clarifiers, smart controls, and seasonal equipment.
- Lighting & Aesthetic Design — Creating natural illumination and integrating low-voltage LED lighting for safe, beautiful nightscapes.
- Maintenance & Seasonal Care — Mastering the techniques that keep ponds clear through Minnesota’s extreme seasonal shifts, from ice to algae control.
- Fish Health & Feeding Practices — Understanding koi care, pond chemistry, and responsible feeding across temperature changes.
- Customer Experience & Water Feature Education — Teaching homeowners how to confidently maintain, enjoy, and reconnect with their water features.
Our team continues taking new courses each year as Aquascape updates its certification library, keeping us aligned with the most current best practices in the industry.
Result: You get a team that doesn’t just “work on ponds.” We understand why
ponds work, how to keep them balanced through every season, and how to give you a water feature that’s beautiful, low-maintenance, and built for the long run.
